Assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs and activities of daily living as well as administer medication in the Assisted Living community, under the direction of nursing and administrative staff.




  • Obtains and records resident’s vital signs and weight.
  • Administers and documents medications given by following specifically written physicians orders, including oral, topical, and suppository medications, as well as eye and ear drops.
  • Observes, records, and reports observations such as unexpected and untoward effects from medications.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living.
  • Answer resident calls for assistance.
  • Assist residents to and from the dining room and activities.
  • Serves and monitors residents during dining. Assist in clearing tables after meals.
  • Assist residents with light daily housekeeping and trash removal.
  • Works closely with the Activity Director to carry out resident activities.
  • Other duties as assigned



Educational Requirements and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CNA/CMA certification in the state of TX.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience.
