Responsibilities

 

The Director, Behavioral Health/CEO is accountable for directing, coordinating, and administering the operations and activities of the hospital that includes:

  • Building a state-of-the art clinical experience for patients
  • Developing a highly effective team of clinicians, department heads, and medical staff
  • Executes market strategy through building strong referral source relationships
  • Ensures hospital exceeds accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional fiscal management utilizing industry trends, metrics, and sound expense controls
  • Leads all business related activity to achieve Cornerstone Healthcare’s vision and supporting strategies and assures that the company image as an ethical and high quality provider of health services is developed and maintained.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Compliance driven leader with a strong focus on safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Ability to project a professional Image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, Psychology, Nursing, Counseling or Healthcare Related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of senior management or executive positions in a psychiatric hospital
  • Exceptional track record as a behavioral health executive
  • Working knowledge of state, CMS, and TJC accreditation standards
  • Success in leading a profitable behavioral health inpatient setting
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
  • Ability to manage conflict and find creative alternatives to difficult situations. 
  • Leadership ability to nurture people in their pursuit of high standards.
